This is a photo of my last shopping trip to ShopRite. I saved $59.12 in coupons. My husbands response was “That’s it?” Oh yes, I have accomplished much more impressive trips, but I admit I bought a few impulse items while I was on this trip. To make him appreciate me a bit more I felt the need to spread all my items out (71 to me exact), those canvas bags hold a lot of food. My total bill was $99.91 an at 71 items equals $1.40 per item. That would be the impressive part I told him. I can and have done better.
Shopping like this takes some timing, but there are several websites available to help you plan out your trip. They do the work for you. Here are some of my favorites:
There are so many more, but these work for me Moneysavingmethods deals with Walgreens,CVS,Target, and Walmart. the other 2 offer a variety of stores, coupon links and freebies. You just need to find what works best for you.
I wouldn’t say that I’m a coupon fanatic, but I REALLY can’t shop without them I use my good old newspaper coupons, and several on-line printed coupons, either from the above sites or I subscribe to www.coupons.com they refresh coupons each month and you can print 2 of each. Also www.smartsource.com and www.redplum.com let you print coupons. I also have signed up for newsletters from particular brands that I use and they e-mail coupons and special offers. I’ll also mention once again www.mambosprouts.com they have coupons for organic products-yum!
There are several ways to save money at the store, but for now I’ll leave it to the experts to explain. I’m just an amateur trying to save a buck!
