Oh- she is so back! I have a new laptop people and I’m ready!
I’m so excited to be reviewing Keri Wyatt Kent’s book: rest: Living in Sabbath Simplicity.
I’m glad to be taking part in the blogtourspot.com. I’m given a free book and have a chance to read and review it here on-line!
I chose this book because I thought my readers would be able to connect to it. Well, at least need to connect to it.
Honestly I had no idea how religiously based this book was going to be. Yes, I know the Sabbath part should have tipped me off, but that wasn’t what drew me into this book. Yes, scripture is quoted, but I believe that this book reaches beyond any religious belief. I found the history behind it interesting and quite modern in thinking at the same time.
Especially for moms- taking a day and keeping it sacred for family is so important!
The concept of Sabbath is something that I have seen disappear over the years. I loved this book! I felt as if someone was explaining some of my thoughts. This is what we need now- in these times.
If you are not religious and can get by without having the religious language upset you, I feel that this book can give a person a different perspective about rest and reflection that most people can appreciate.
