That’s right- she’s back again. Every week I’m going to be bringing you weight loss and healthy living tips. I fell off the wagon, but I’m back. Today I wanted to focus on what keeps you from a healthier body.
Top Excuses I Hear:
1. I don’t have the time
2. Healthy food is expensive
3. I can’t join a gym
4. I’m just getting older
5. Sure celebrities can do it, they have chefs and trainers. I’d look like that too if I had a chef and trainer. Well, would you?
Each week I’m going to breakdown one of these myths and tell you what I’m doing to stay healthy. Sure, I’m not perfect, but I’m trying-again. I’m trying because it’s important to me to stay healthy and look good. I want to play with my kids and not get winded. I don’t want to just settle in like so many of us do and use one of these excuses for me not wanting to take responsibility for my life.
Excuse #5: I’d look like a celebrity if I had a personal trainer and chef. Would you really? I mean sure a celebrity gets paid to look a certain way, but trainer or no trainer they still have to do the work. Would you be willing to sweat it out for hours a day because someone is yelling at you-oh “motivating” you? There are alot of people that can afford a trainer and can’t do the work. Stop kidding yourself and giving away your power. If you want to do it you will find a way to motivate yourself. God knows I keep trying.
The chef part- well, wouldn’t it be nice to have healthy meals ready at a moments notice? Sure it would, but how many times do we go out to eat and order, well, the NOT so healthy option? You control what goes into your body. We are all guilty of ordering the cream sauce and the fried calamari instead of the salad, broiled salmon with steamed greens.(okay so this is what I do) Own it-it’s okay to splurge, but don’t pawn off the responsibility.
So as far as I’m concerned this excuse is squashed!
Tip- Be responsible for you. Own your triumphs! Own your weaknesses! They make you who you are and you should celebrate that fact. You are an amazing person.
