I was so excited once again about the opportunity to expose my little guys to some local attractions for free. Actually close to my home are a few historic sites- The Vanderbilt Mansion, FDR’s Home and Eleanor Roosevelet’s home. I have been to all of these and have even brought the children, but the boys have never been inside. We never felt that it would interest them enough to pay to go inside. You are welcome to explore the grounds for free anytime and we have done that several times.
I’ll let you all know how it goes, but I can’t wait for them to explore the inside of these wonderful historic places. The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island are also included in this week. My oldest is dying to go, but do to obligation we can’t make it this week. Another time I suppose.
Please let me know if you go and where.
