So, I’ve done what I consider to be a brave thing. I’m not really sending my kids to camp this Summer. They are going to 3 different camps, 3 separate weeks, and half day only. Today is day one of them both being home from school and I’m planning a get together tomorrow night and well, they are driving me crazy. I’m sure all you homeschoolers are laughing at me, but I just need a break today.
So, I was inspired to start a new series called Kids at Home Summer Tips. These are going to be things that I do with my guys for the Summer to hold everyone’s sanity.
Tip #1: Nope it’s not the playground, it’s take them to your local farms. My CSA has swings, picnic tables, flowers to pick and chickens. I get to pick up my share and the guys get to enjoy a different atmosphere. They get to see where their food comes from and meet all types of people picking up their shares. My farm is open to the public so you don’t need to be a member to go there.
Sorry, I don’t have any chicken or flower picking pictures. The boys were so happy on the swings I got carried away. So, just another idea to mix things up. Check out your local farms. I promise the kids will have a blast and while you’re there pick up so local produce!

Following you from blog hop Friday. I did the same thing this year…only one camp. My oldest is almost 6 and I know the day is coming he wants to be gone. For now, I'll love having him home and doing fun summer things!
