This has been a great week for me, sort of. I mean right now I’m at home with a sick kid, I think they made a huge mistake on my electric bill and well, we just really don’t have any money. That would be the bad part, but I had some good as well. My boys are doing great at school, I had an amazing group of ladies over last Friday night, and I’m finally getting a groove going that’s working for me. I feel good. I feel challenged, but not overwhelmed. I’m excited about what’s come. So, here is a look at my week:
This week I learned that:
10. some people just like hearing themselves talk with no regard for what you might have to say. ( I don’t need to explain that do I?)
9. having smartphones have made people more annoying. ( Seriously, I don’t need to know that you are buying a cup of coffee, then getting a hair cut, then you ran into Jane Doe and blah, blah, blah.)
8. I’m able to accomplish more than I do. ( I need to be more proactive in my life.)
7. sometimes you have to almost lose everything to change your life. ( I witnessed this in a friend.)
6. some one always has it worse than I do.
5. trying a new recipe every week isn’t always a good thing. ( I’ve had a few disasters.)
4. the boy-girl thing starts young. (The kids got flyers at school for an open house at a dance studio and some of the boys didn’t even want to take it home because dancing is for girls.Wow- this is in Kindergarten! Where does that come from? I asked my son if he was interested and he said,” Yes,only if I’m not the only boy. ” So, sad.)
3. my oldest son is about half my weight and has the ability to knock me over. ( We were just playing and boy did he look shocked!)
2. there is a certain calmness about holding my sick little ones. ( That feeling you get, like you are the only one that can make them feel better.)
1. my husband does pay attention. ( As much as I bust on him I have to say it takes a real man to realize that one son would love a sword and the other would prefer a parasol as a gift. It touched my heart so much that he knew them so well and took such a big chance. The boys appreciated it too.)

If I could do it again I’d start dancing at 8 years old because chicks dig guys who can dance! You want me to explain it to them? I guess not…

I can relate to “trying a new recipe isn’t always a good thing.” I made a new cake for dessert last night, I think the baking soda amounts were WAY off
