To celebrate the first day of Summer and the last day of school I purchased some Driscoll’s Strawberries and Raspberries to make a special treat for the kids. The kids chose to start with a Strawberry Shake! Shakes are so easy to make at home and using fresh fruit makes it that much more tasty! Berries are a big hit around this household. I like to have them handy for breakfast as well. It’s an easy way to at fruit to any meal. Anyway, here is the scoop on my milkshake!
Ingredients:
Drsicoll’s strawberries
Vanilla Ice Cream
Milk ( I used Vanilla Almond milk)
Ice
I was making 2 small shakes for my boys. I used two large scoops of Ice cream about 6 ounces of strawberries and then just kept splashing milk in till I reached the consistency I wanted. Easy right! This is an excellent way to give your children a treat, yet include fresh fruit. I served them their milkshakes with a side bowl of fresh strawberries and raspberries. They loved it!
