I can’t say that this has ever happened to me on a date, but I’ve gone to a party or two where I felt as if I got my college diploma out of a gum ball machine. It can be both funny and uncomfortable to not be on the same intellectual level as others. That’s why this show is so funny. We’ve all been in some sort of situation where street smarts and book smarts meet. It’s always interesting. I once brought a guy I was dating to my college and he was uncomfortable with my friends. Needless to say that relationship didn’t last. I think the best story I have that can compare to The Big Bang Theory is meeting up with an old boyfriend’s friend. While I never felt any issues in our relationship as far as intellect is concerned, imagine my surprise to find out that he’s a rocket scientist now. That’s right a rocket scientist! Wow!
