Ladies Night
Last Friday night the ladies and I got together for some awesome product sampling and cocktails! The drink of the night was Blow Pop Martini’s and I can’t believe how fast they went. I always feel as if the night ends in a big blur, no not because I drank too much, but because I never really get to visit with any one person for long. I needed this night so bad and I had the best time. We had much to celebrate. The kids are back in school and two ladies that attended have lost about 50 pounds combined weight. Now that’s reason to celebrate! A couple of ladies were missed like my sweet “R” that has not been having a good time medically lately. You were with us in spirit and we’ll be celebrating you next time. It’s good to have friends around and I think we forget about getting together because some of us moms are so concerned about our families that we don’t think out of that box. I challenge you to do something for yourself this weekend, even if it’s just coffee with a friend. Enough! Let’s get to it!
This week I learned that:
10. I have that one friend that can compliment you and insult you all at the same time. ( Telling someone that you love something even though it’s gaudy and cheap doesn’t qualify as a compliment does it?)
9. I also have a know it all in my life. ( Sometimes I just feel like saying, ” Wow! Since you can do everything better than everyone else I’m surprised you aren’t a billionaire! Yes, you Master of the Universe tell me how it’s done.”
8. there is no better entrance to a party than barging in waving a bottle of wine and saying ” Someone get me a cork screw!” ( I’m still laughing about it P!)
7. they play that transvaginal mesh commercial way too many times during the day! ( I’m just waiting for my son to ask me, “What is a transvaginal mesh? Uhh)
6. my son’s feet are so bad that they make my house smell like a smelly locker room. ( Someone please help me! Any thoughts please leave me a comment! I need HELP!)
5. I’m finally liking my hair. ( I haven’t had it cut in months, but I feel good about it.)
4. people just don’t send thank you cards anymore. Or for that fact RSVP. ( I can never be sure that someone got my gift if they don’t acknowledge it. Did it get lost? I’ll never even know if you like it. I’m also through with inviting people to events that never RSVP. Either you can come or you can’t not a big deal. So, if you don’t get an invite to my next party don’t be mad at me.)
3. a red raincoat = happiness. ( Buy that one thing you’ve always wanted, within reason of course. I’ve always wanted a red raincoat and now that I have one I can tell you that I feel like a million bucks everytime I put it on.)
2. just when I think that I know my boys they blow me away with something new! ( It’s called growing up. Dammit!)
1. over all I’m feeling very blessed. Hard work is paying off and I’m satisfied. ( We are happy, healthy and moving forward. I’m going to enjoy it while it lasts!)

What was really funny was the wine had a twist top! (Thinking of you too, “R”!)
OMG!!!!!
for #6: Bath&Body works used to sell a foot odor remover spray in their foot care line & i used to use it all the time, but I don’t think they have it anymore ;( that being said, I am going to admit that, i used to be the one in our relationship with a foot odor prob (used to wear alot of pantyhose) but now hubby is, and it’s partially b/c he works with water alot, so his feet are wet & sweaty for a good part of the day. Anyways, he uses gold bond foot powder before h puts his sock on, but i also got him a spray (idk if he uses it) but i’m not sure of the brand-it’s from walmart or the dollar tree
i heard of it somewhere & looked it up once tho…
#7 we don’t have cable, so we don’t see that, lol
Good stuff- thanks! I have been using the gold bond, but I forget sometimes and he had a spray, but I thought something else might work better.
Loved the Blow pop drink….. Sitting here thinking I really need a party right now with mommies as my children torture the clean house that I just finished cleaning, then when the husband comes home… he says what happened.. Maybe I should hire a secret housecleaner so I am less stressed. My point is the get togethers are such a breath of fresh Mommy time with nobody asking me to wipe their butt or where are their socks or she is looking at me….. Thanks for You and friends!!!!
No top ten list item has made me smile more than #1 on this list! You deserve to have a great week, year, life for all that you do for others– glad to see that you are truly living in success (not just having success, but knowing it and enjoying it!). SO SAD to have missed what must have been a great party!!
You were missed:( Next time, because there will be a next time!
#1 and #3, my two favorites this week!!
