After Friday’s events I wasn’t sure if I should post my list. What I’ve learned this week just doesn’t seem very important at all. Then I thought about it and honestly it really never has been important just fun. Maybe we need a little bit of fun, even if it’s me getting annoyed at people. This was a much better week for me than last week. My son’s anxiety levels were in check and I’ve been able to get things ready for holidays. I’m trying my best not to let things like this get me stressed. The holidays should be fun for everyone so I’m experimenting on what makes it better for me and my family. I think my experiment is working so far. I’ll fill you in on the details later. I’ve also come up with a plan to try to keep people out of my kitchen while I’m cooking Christmas dinner. Keep your fingers crossed that it works! Anyway here you go:
This week I learned that:
10. narcissism does exist. ( Wow! There is a huge difference between confidence and thinking that your shit don’t stink. So, unattractive!)
9. even when you think they don’t notice they do. ( This can be a good and a bad thing.)
8. a little competition never hurt anyone. ( As much as I hate competition, it really does get me motivated.)
7. strawberry shortcake from Deisings Bakery is by far the most AWESOME cake in the world! ( I don’t do cookies or other sweets, but cake- LOVE IT!!!!!!)
6. I hate all the commercials for the movie TED because my kids are asking to see it. ( NO, they can’t see it, but why use a cute teddy bear to lure my boys into wanting to watch an R- rated film.)
5. my cat is finally starting to like his cat bed. ( Okay, so its really a dog bed, but it’s taken 2 weeks to get this cat to finally sleep in it.)
4. using your iPad to film the Christmas pageant is rude to about 5 rows of people behind you. ( How can you not think that holding a small flat screen TV over your head isn’t going to block out everyones view behind you. ANNOYING!!!!!)
3. instead of actually being present and watching the Christmas pageant people would rather stare at their iPad and watch it on screen. ( Odd, very odd.)
2.I don’t have to pretend to like all this corny parenting stuff. ( I do all these things, but I do them for my kids. It doesn’t mean that I’m thrilled to sit there listening to a bunch of old ladies sing, or serve cupcakes at a class party. )
1. life is short, too short for some.

I like #4 because its so true! A new rudeness! You should do a top ten of ways to be rude that just weren’t available only 5-10 yrs ago like checking mags when someone is talking to u!

I LOVE Deisings Bakery ! I grew up with it. every Sunday morning my Dad and I would go and get all kinds of treats and breads! The place has grown into an amazing bakery! The Deisings Famliy are terrific! I went to school with two of them. I suggest trying their Bacon maple twist donut.. Just saying and try it before you leave because you will want to go back for 2 a dozen more.!
