When I was asked to try a new cocktail in honor of Valentine’s Day I couldn’t resist. Cocktails are also adaptable to any situation. For instance you and your lover want to fire things up or you and your best friend want to set your ex-lover on fire! At this point in my life Valentine’s is spent with my husband and my little boys, but when the little ones go to bed it’s time for the adults to play. So, I mixed up a new cocktail called “The Beso de Luz” Margarita. Meaning :the kiss of light – Named by Santana. Yes, Santana of Smooth and Black Magic Woman fame! He named the cocktail after his wife Cindy.
I had no idea that tequila was considered an aphrodisiac, but I’m not surprised. When Santana first tried El Beso de Luz he likened the taste to when one first falls in love. When I tried it I was transported to a warm sunny day laughing and eating with family and friends. Casa Noble Crystal tequila is smooth in flavor and the vanilla and citrus notes produced a clamming effect on my mood. I was worried that the Casa Noble Crystal and Licor 43 together would produce a strong drink, but it was the perfect blend for a memorable Margarita. I think I found my next cocktail to serve for ladies night. Who could use a little “Beso de the Luz”?
Here is the recipe:
“The El Beso de Luz” Margarita
(the kiss of light – Named by Santana)
2 oz Casa Noble Crystal
½ oz Licor 43
1 oz lime juice
¼ orange squeeze & drop
Give it a try this weekend with your lover or with your friends! Then tell me all about it!
Disclosure: I was sent samples of Casa Noble Crystal and Licor 43 to mix my cocktail. All thoughts are my own.

OMG, I used to love 43, now I have a new recipe and as for serving an “aphrodisiac” at ladies night, I am questioning this, but will still attend!!!!!!!!!!
