As a Purex Insider, I get provided with samples of products to try in exchange for a review. I always give my honest opinion and this time is no different. I have to say it’s even easy this time because I was sent a Purex Fels-Naptha Laundry Bar. A product that I have been using for years. I’m sure you’ve seen it at the supermarket with the other stain removers and laundry products and maybe even wondered what it’s for or how people use it.
About the Product:
Fels-Naptha Laundry Bar & Stain Remover is just that! It’s removes stains and is especially good for ring around the collar, grease, and dirt. It’s safe on colors and an awesome pretreater. It’s easy to use and affordable compared to other brands. This product has been around for over 100 years. I use it regularly and can see why it’s lasted for so long. I first started using it when I began to make my own laundry detergent.
How I use Purex Fels-Naptha:
I first discovered this products stain treating ability as part of my homemade laundry recipe. By shredding or grating the Purex laundry bar into a mixture of water and laundry soap you can easily create your own stain fighting laundry detergent. My recipe can be found HERE. Since I don’t use the entire bar I leave it in a plastic bag in my laundry room. Then I have it handy at all times to use to pretreat stains. You simply wet the bar and rub it on any stain. It works well especially if you have to treat an oily or greasy stain. My husband works construction so ring around the collar is one of my worst enemies, next to my son’s football pants! So this stain treater is a big staple in my home.
Do you use it? Want to give it a try? I have a giveaway for you!
