“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Reebok. I received a Famous Footwear gift card to purchase a pair of Reebok shoes to facilitate my review and to thank me for participating.”
If you’ve been following my blog for a while or checked out my Revolt Fitness tab you know that I work out 5 days a week. I do a mixture of cardio and weight training and all sorts of other stuff in between. I’ve hit a plateau and would like to add running or HITS training to my current program. Thankfully, Mom Central gave me a $100 gift card to Famous Footwear to buy myself a pair of Reebok shoes. No more excuses for me! So, off I went to my local Famous Footwear.
I’ve been shopping at Famous Footwear for quiet a few years now. I became a fan of Famous Footwear when I brought my oldest son shopping for a few pairs of shoes. He has special problems with one of his feet and I not only need a wide shoe, but also a high and squared toe area. Trust me it’s tough to find all of those things in a kids shoe, especially if you don’t want to pay a fortune. The salesperson spent so much time with us making sure that the fit was perfect while tending to other customers. She also told us that Famous Footwear carries many more styles online and they take returns at the store. When we made our purchase she explained the Famous Footwear Rewards Program, which offers coupons and points reward system. We signed up and use it all the time.
When I went into the store this time they only had two styles of Reebok sneakers for women, I was instructed to go online for a much larger selection. The selection of Reeboks online was extensive. The website was easy to use and allowed me to narrow down my search to a few pairs of running shoes. I was so lucky they had a deal featuring buy one and get one 50% off. I was able to get two pairs of Reeboks shipped and still have money left on my card. I haven’t owned a quality pair of sneakers in quiet sometime. This was so exciting!
Reebok Sneaker Review:
I ordered the Reebok Women’s REALFLEX RUN. They looked like the perfect shoe for my workout, plus running. They came exactly as described, not bulky and with breathable fabric. The insoles absorbed the impact of my hardcore cardio program. I feel as if I’m getting so much more out of my workout by using the proper shoe. My feet and posture are more comfortable. My feet also aren’t dying to get of the shoes like they have with my other sneakers. I’m impressed at how well the impact of jumping is absorbed by the insole cushion on this Reebok sneaker. I love these and would recommend them to my fellow workout enthusiasts. On a side note I love the colors and had a hard time choosing which color I wanted. I find them quite stylish!
The other sneaker I purchased was Reebok Women’s Zig Kick. This is built much more like a running shoe, yet still not bulky. Once again it features the breathable mess and cushioned insole. It has a larger rubber traction outsole, but I still found these to be lightweight. The comfort rating is huge. I could walk in these for days. Due to circumstances beyond my control I recently spent some time in the hospital, so I didn’t get a chance to run in these only walk. The funny part is that one of the nurses walked in wearing the same exact sneaker! I asked her about them and she said that sticks with the Reebok brand because being on her feet for 12 hours or more she needs a shoe that is comfortable.
It felt nice to treat myself to a new pair of running shoes after focusing all my time on back to school shopping for my kids and several other occasions that have put me on the back burner. One important thing we need to remember as moms is to take a moment and take care of ourselves. As silly as it might sound, having the right workout gear improved my attitude and I’m grateful.
When is the last time you bought yourself a new pair of sneakers?
