The site provides information on introducing children to pets, pets to children, fun activities for animal-loving children and tips on how to speak to your kids about animal cruelty. As part of the launch the ASPCA has released a video called Meet Molly, were a little girl explains why you should avoid pet stores that sell puppies. Take a look as Molly explains how puppy mills work:

We have two small female dogs. Pepper is a salt & pepper miniature schnauzer and Mitzi is a black & tan dorkie (dachshund/yorkie designer hybrid). They’re both spoiled rotten!

We currently don’t have any pets, but I did while growing up & so did the Hubs. My fa ould actually adopt pets form our local SPCA in DE. We had a dog, about 3 or 4 cats, 2 bunnies, countless goldfish hermit crabs, a turtle….and…I feel like I’m missing a few, lol. Anyways, when we get our own place, we’d love to get a dog!
