I keep running a little late with this post. Well, I guess late is better than nothing. I’m finally feeling like I’m finding my way around this new life of mine. Don’t get me wrong I’m still a mess, but that’s why people like me. This week I had a jam packed schedule. I finally caught up with quite a few friends and have started to make a dent into getting my house back into shape. A calmness has come over me and I feel like I’m exactly where I should be at this time of my life. Great talks have happened this week and I’m blessed to have amazing friends in my life. Sometimes we think that our lives are so boring, but in reality we all have a story that’s important. Share it! Here we go:
This week I learned that:
10. my friend’s father was/is a nude model. ( Didn’t see that one coming, but I shouldn’t be surprised. I’m friends with an interesting bunch of folks. He wrote a book about it and I can’t wait to read it and share with you.)
9. I have too many Facebook “friends”. ( Don’t get me wrong I’m not complaining, but my “real” friends kind of get lost in the news feed. I think I need to make a new personal page.)
8. you shouldn’t be jealous of other people’s relationships. ( You may not have a clue at what really is going on behind closed doors.) ( This goes for best friends as well.)
7. my readers can’t handle a giveaway with the word “balls” in the title. ( I wish as many people entered to win the dryer balls as they sent me jokes about balls. New post with the word “balls” in it to appear soon. LOL!)
6. there are so many people that cheat at giveaways and sweeps. ( The bloggers that do it are really disappointing. They give us all a bad name. Plus who has time for that?)
5. a few people think it’s no big deal that my son broke his arm because it was the end of the Summer anyway and he only had to do a couple of weeks of school with one arm. ( Are you kidding me? Besides THIS post that I wrote maybe you should know that we were planning a vacation that we couldn’t take, that he couldn’t shower or dress himself alone or go in the pool. When school started he had to write with his left hand and try to manage by himself. He also was nervous about getting bumped into and still struggles with that after 1 week without a cast. He also still doesn’t have a full range of motion in his arm yet. Sure, no big deal. It was nothing.)
4. my cat is a bad kitty and is banned from the groomer in town. ( Three people couldn’t hold him down. I was told he needs to be sedated. Oh well, at least he got mostly shaved, but I felt bad for the groomer. She looked scared out of her mind when I came to get the cat.)
3. my son is only allowed to have one snack at snacktime at school. ( I’ve had to brainstorm new ways to make sure he has enough to eat. I would really love for him to have a fruit and some crackers, but it’s one or the other. It just doesn’t seem right. So, for now I’m making my own trail mix and fruit salad in a larger container. Any tips would be appreciated!)
2. adults picking on other adults or children online is disturbing. ( The name calling that some people do is unreal and immature. Once again another reason for a new Facebook page.)
1. most of the answers I’m looking for in life are already inside of me. ( I had the most amazing talk with a friend that caused me to truly reflect on my life, where I’m going and where I want to be. I couldn’t believe the answers I came up with just because I was asked. Wow!)

Ummm..#3- are you kidding me? WTF is up with that?! Not cool. I’d have to speak with the teacher about that. Or whoever made that rule.

#7-Wow, lol. #6- yes, I can’t believe how many people cheat (I know there’s sometimes where it’s a computer glitch or an accident) and don’t actually verify entries! and #5 is really a HUGE deal. It feels like *forever* in a child’s life & they have to miss out on so much because of it (not to mention they feel like lepers, intentional or not). #1-Good for you! you are such a strong person!
