Last Wednesday night we attend an exclusive event to view the Scotch and Post-It Brands 2015 product collection at The Glass Houses in New York City. It was quite the night of creativity and learning!
The first station we visited featured guest blogger and do-it-yourselfer Jenni Radosevich from I Spy DIY. The table was full on Scotch Brand Expressions Glitter Tapes, Metallic Tapes, Washi Tapes and more! Be Your Best Mom Contributing Writer Marcia crafted 2 cards with her Expression Tapes while I put together this bracelet. Who knew we could be so crafty! It was fun and easy with Scotch Expressions Tapes!
The next station featured Post-it’s Color Collections, Post-it Big Pads and Post-it Dry Erase Surface (I’ll get to this one later!) Dr. Michelle Borba was eagerly awaiting to talk to us about how to use Post-It products to get kids to learn and be excited while learning. I loved her insight on brain storming and team building in the classroom and at home. I homeschool and I’m always looking for new ways to make learning fun while retaining information. My favorite tip was to use Post-It Message Flags. “Tell kids”don’t highlight” but tab “ur keepers” [key facts 2 learn]-review tabs-better retention!” – Dr. Michelle Borba
My all time favorite product: Post-it Dry Erase Surface. This is an instant and flexible whiteboard solution. It comes in a roll and can be customized. Just unroll, peel and stick. You can use it on walls, tables, etc. Peel it off and reuse!. I can’t wait to get this one! There are so many uses from homeschooling, family schedules, business and so much more. We also had a lesson on using the Post-it Plus App! Brainstorming at work using Post-its and need to bring them home? Simple, take a photo, ( It can capture as many as 50 Post-its at a time) Collect and combine ides from various captures and organize. Share in a Powerpoint, Excel, Dropbox, PDF and more. I can’t wait to start using this one! Available for free from the App Store!
We then got creative in the kitchen with the new Scotch PRO Thermal Laminator! No envelope needed! Just place the item you wish to laminate in a Scotch Thermal Laminating Pouch and go! NO BUBBLES! I chose a baking conversion chart and Marcia chose a build your lunch menu for kids. Just place on your fridge and use a dry erase marker to have your child mark off what they would like in their lunch box! Make weekly menus, placemats, chore charts and you are set!
I was also excited about the Scotch Expressions Chalkboard and Dry Erase Tapes! These make organizing a breeze and you can reuse them again and again. The non-crafty side of me was excited about Scotch Essentials. Available at Rite-Aid these products make everyday wardrobe solutions a snap! No sewing needed! Just stick and fix! Easy Fix Button, Adjustable Hem tape, Hold Tight Strap Clips and more! I’m not handy with a needle so these are a God send!
