ASPCA NEWS:
I’ve done quite a bit of work in the past for the ASPCA and now they are celebrating their 150th anniversary! I can’t believe that they have been helping animals for so long. To honor that milestone they launched 150 Days of Rescue. This is a nationwide action campaign seeking to unite the country in making a difference in the lives of animals. Are you in? If you are getting the kids involved is easy!

5 Ways Kids Can Help Animals in Need:
I love that the ASPCA is encouraging families and kids to be involved in this program. Just visit ASPCA.org/150days and pledge at least 15 minutes of your time between April 10 and September 7, 2016 to helping animals in need. They are hoping to reach 150,000 actions for animals in 150 days! Will you help them reach their goal? It’s easy. Log in for a chance to nominate your favorite shelter to receive a $150,000 grant prize! I love that they are offering a local shelter funds to help with animals in need right your own community. Take a look at this list and see the many ways kids can help animals in need.
Just click on this image and download the PDF or print it for yourself. While we can’t take anymore animals into our home my boys love visiting the shelter, making donations and spending time with the animals. Most children enjoy animals and having them do activities to help their furry friends can really help a child to feel good about themselves. It also teaches them that people can make a difference no matter how small.

My dog is a rescue but I think he rescued me. My roomie uses glue traps to catch nice but I secretly release them when he’s not around. It’s easy- just take them a mile away and pour olive oil on them. They don’t need to die

My pledge is to urge my family & friends to adopt, not shop for pets!
