The Olympic Games represent many things to many people. For our family it represents hard work, determination, team work and a pride in one’s country. My son started running last year. He plays a few sports, but was a late bloomer. As hard as he tries he has never excelled in any of them, but then running came along.
With his father by his side, he began training for his first race this past Spring. We spent a lot of time watching movies and documentaries on past Olympic Games and Olympians. We not only trained, but talked about what makes a champion. It’s not always about winning. It’s about giving it your best and knowing that you are putting forth 100% effort.
Track and Field doesn’t begin for my son till 9th grade, luckily this Wednesday he’ll be able to watch Ashton Eaton compete in the Olympic Games for Team USA. Ashton James Eaton is an American decathlete and Olympic champion, who holds the world record in both the decathlon and indoor heptathlon events, and is only the second decathlete to break the 9,000-point barrier, with 9,039 points.
Our family supports P & G products for helping making dreams come true for Team USA! When you shop at Walmart you not only get their everyday low prices, but you support Team USA by purchasing P & G products.
My husband just tried out the Gillette® Fusion® ProShield® Razor with FlexBall™ Technology. It has 5 precision blades for less tug and pull and it gives you lubrication BEFORE and after the blades to help shield your skin while you shave. My husband is always cutting himself when he shaves, but he hasn’t yet with this razor. He was actual shocked.
His sensitive skin wasn’t irritated and he’s happy with his new Gillette® Fusion® ProShield® Razor with FlexBall™ Technology.
My son finally ran his first 5K. His time was 25:57. Overall rank 119 out of 359 and 89 out of 195 men. He was one of the first 10 children to cross the finish line. We are so proud of him and his determination. I can’t wait to see what he’s going to do in the future. I know that watching the Olympic Games and knowing that companies like Walmart and P&G support dreams, he’ll have a bright future.
