What in the Scrat-astrophe is going on?
The family and I were just able to join Scrat and friends in the latest installment of the Ice Age Franchise Collision Course! The boys and I had the pleasure of seeing it on the big screen and now we are able to bring it into our living room! I have two boys that love science, space and Ice Age so this event was perfect for our family movie night!
We were sent this amazing family movie night kit! I know I’ve said it a million times, but I do love-making family movie an event! But wait! Why space when Ice Age is……well, about the Ice Age? Here is the scoop on the film in case you missed it!
Synopsis:
Your favorite ICE AGE heroes are back and cooler than ever in this all-new animated adventure that’s mammoth-sized fun for the whole family! Scrat’s epic pursuit of the elusive acorn catapults him into the universe, where he accidentally triggers a series of cosmic events that threaten the Ice Age world. Now the entire herd—including Buck, Manny, Ellie, Sid and Diego—must work together on a hilarious journey filled with nonstop action and colorful new characters, in order to survive the global Scrat-tastrophe!”
The big hit of the evening was the Smithsonian Planetarium Projector. We filled the ceiling with stars, planets, an astronaut and well you name it! We all loved this one. It even has an auto switch off so after 10 minutes it shuts down. I actually found it relaxing, but I loved that my son was able to identify the planets without looking at the key on the sheet that is supplied with it.
It was cloudy over here so we weren’t able to get a look through the table top telescope. The projector helped us. These are some shots I took that had been projected on to my ceiling! So much fun!
I encourage you to make movie night an experience! Ice Age: Collision Course is a fun film that can get your kids excited about science! Make a night out of it! We did!
