*My family and I were sent a review copy of this film. All thoughts are our own.*
Oh, my! The family and I watched Bambi last night and it sure brought back memories. My oldest is 13 now and I remember watching this on VHS with him over and over again, much like we did with any Disney film. My youngest at 11 didn’t remember ever watching it all. Another reminder that the youngest grows up much faster than the first. I’m glad that we had the opportunity to watch this Disney classic together and add it to our collection.

Further Thoughts:
“Bambi” was released in 1942 during World War II and took over five years to make due to its exquisite hand-drawn artwork and attention to detail. My kids were amazed when I explained to them that this film was hand-drawn. The animators were true artists. Just knowing this fact held my older boys attention and they watched every single detail. The idea that someone could do this without computers was foreign to them. Beloved by generations, “Bambi” holds the No. 3 spot on the American Film Institute’s “10 Top 10,” honoring the 10 greatest animated films of all time. We could see why it holds that spot. A great film for all ages and a wonderful addition to any movie collection.
