So, I’m back on board. I started this blog with the idea of being the best I could be and hopefully lose a few pounds and gain a few insights. Things didn’t quite workout that way. I did a cleanse, I lost some weight, I gained some weight and well frankly I felt awful. I haven’t revisited this here because I had no knowledge of what the issues with my body were at the time. Now I know a few things:
- getting older doesn’t mean you have to gain weight
- having kids doesn’t mean you have to feel tired all the time
- you are the best judge about your body
I finally sought medical attention when I just felt I had exhausted all possibilities. I wish I had done it sooner. To make a long story short-things still aren’t resolved yet, but I do have an allergy to dairy. I can’t even begin to tell you how much better I feel by just cutting dairy out of my diet. I don’t have to feel tired and bloated anymore. I’m so thankful that my doctor took me seriously. I’m not overweight and my BMI (body mass index) is normal, but for my frame she agreed that losing a few pounds would be fine.
So- oh yes, that’s Jillian Michael’s in the photo. Here is my plan and I’ll keep you posted. As of today I’m weighed in and measured, I’m dairy free and on day 2 of Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred. My weight loss goal is 15Lbs. If anyone would like to join me on the Shred please email me. I would love a partner or a few. It’s one tough workout and I’m a wimp!
My plea is that if you are not feeling good about yourself, your weight whatever-talk to your doctor. As hard as it is for me to give up dairy, I’m thankful that I feel as good as I do right now. It’s been a long time.
