I had a busy weekend so here is my latest update, as to what’s been going on these past few days. First of all I was supposed to start the official diet program on day 5, but I did something else for my health. My husband and I had date night!
Everything is connected to everything. I’m discovering that a large part of feeling fatigued has to do with not taking enough time for myself. I’m also discovering that a healthy family starts with a healthy marriage. My husband has been working 6 days a week and commuting several hours a day. He has been exhausted and it has been taking a toll out on our relationship. We needed to reconnect. We had a great night just drinking and talking as always. I think we finally got caught up. I felt so rested after that night.
I have been continuing to clear spaces and watch my food. Grocery shopping was actually exciting because I took the time to connect with my food. I read labels and had so much fresh produce in my cart. I felt like a new person. I can’t explain it. Maybe I felt that I was taking care of myself and my family by buying higher quality food items. Connections I keep making them.
The downside to all of this is the huge amount of time I’m spending in the kitchen. Also the large amount of dishes and pots and pans that need to be washed. I say this as I’m off to my kitchen again to prep for the week. Ah- now to start exercising again-yuck!
