That’s what I’m doing right now – having a nice cold drink! My back door thermometer is reading a hot 107 here in New York. I’m dying over here. The good news – my new blog design is up! Tell me what you think. I’m going to give a big shout out to Wacky Jacqui’s Designs for getting me up and going! Check them out for your design needs! I can’t wait to give my new site a whirl. I suppose that means I must get serious now – after all I did just fill out just fill out some paperwork for a friend and listed myself as a Freelance Writer. Yes, you “writers” might get a good laugh at that, but good or bad – it is what I do.
To sum up this week in a nutshell – it was crappy. Two sick kids, selfish people on the loose, $300 hospital bill and killer heat with no Air Conditioning- need I say more? Ah, but I do….
This Week I Learned That:
10. I can’t blog or work on the computer in extreme heat. ( I get too confused, someone get me an AC unit!)
9. some people will complain no matter what – it is never good enough. ( hopefully, someday they will realize that the glass half empty attitude just draws disaster. )
8. my basement is damp I need to change the humidifier pan twice a day. ( or is it the dehumidifier? Either way my basement is gross)
7. sometimes I just don’t want to be nice. I would like to tell people what I really think. ( It’s the heat talking- I’m feeling mean!)
6. watching my kids at swim class is like slowing down to see the wreckage after an accident. ( you have to look, but it’s painful at the same time)
5. not having air conditioning has made my kids resilient to the heat. ( they don’t ever complain that it’s too hot)
4. even though I have an extreme hatred towards air conditioners, even I am begging for one in this heat wave. ( the fans are just not enough)
3. without fail my 5 year old will stick his hand up my dress or-my favorite, pull it up in public. ( I just don’t get it. My husband and I think he just gets nervous and is looking for something to do, but hello, I’m embarrassed to think about how many unsuspecting souls have seen my panties.)
2. my husband can actually stick to a diet. ( It’s a miracle! I’ve spent so much in the past and it’s been a bust, but not this time. Great job, babe! You inspire me!)
1. heat, sick kids, and being trapped at home can turn me into a crazy person. ( the good part – my family and friends still love me. Even though I’m a lunatic- Thanks for sticking with me.)
Have a great weekend!

Like the new look. Very smart and sophisticated. I hear you about the nasty weather making nasty temperatures. I won’t rub it in that I do like A/C and have been gratefully using it for the last couple of days…lol! But I do appreciate the difference when I come inside.
