This feels like the week that never ends! My little one started football practice and I never realized just how time consuming this all can be at times. We are also starting the countdown tonight to my fortieth birthday next week and we are going to have one hell of a party!Age doesn’t scare me, but I can’t believe how it all happened so fast. That sounds so cliche, but it’s true. I’m looking forward to spending the day with family and friends, both old and new. I also have today my special feature, “What my Husband Did This Week?” It’s been awhile since you’ve been subjected to his crazy forgetful antics, but he did not disappoint this week. Now don’t skip to the bottom, here is what I learned.
This Week I Learned That:
10. little kids can be mean. ( Yes, I knew this, but simply forgot. Unfortunately, I was reminded when my little guy got picked on this week repeatedly.)
9. sports are tough on both the kids and the parents. ( I can’t believe I have to sit there for 2 hours every night while a grown man yells at a bunch of 5 and 6 year olds-LOL)
8. sometimes friends grow apart. ( sad, but true)
7. great friends transcend time and distance. ( I am so looking forward to seeing some old friends of mine at my party)
6. my 5 year old is far more capable of things than I give him credit for. ( He amazes me when he’s not whining)
5. no matter how hard you try to uncomplicated things they still become complicated. ( Really! This was supposed to be easy)
4. my boys are very supportive of each other. ( We must be doing something right when my 7 year old tells my little one he did a great job at practice.)
3. even when the playground is clearly labeled as a smoke free zone people smoke. ( come on! I guess if you don’t care enough about your kid breathing that crap how can you care about mine!)
2. it’s possible to have a million things to do and still be bored. ( now I know what the kids feel like when they say they are bored)
1. with the right amount of motivation anyone can be a success. ( all you need is one person to believe in you)
Plus 1
I just spent too much time writing checks today and I’ll tell you why in a moment. For those of you that are new every so often I add a plus 1 and post all the things that “happen” to my husband during the week. It’s all in good fun and frankly he’s been good lately, I blame the pain meds he’s been on. Here we go:
This Week My Husband:
3. I know he did something else, but I just can’t remember! Darn it! He did lose his glasses, but he found them. Thank God.
2. Left his phone at work and had to turn around and go back, missing the train and leaving me stuck at football practice. ( I might not have known about this, but someone found it and texted me that he left his phone-busted!)
1. Lost his debit/ATM card again! ( I am so waiting for them to charge us for replacing this card so frequently. Today I had to write check galore because he took my card to use and left me with no cash!)
But we love him! Have a great weekend everyone!
