First let me say that while I don’t eat meat I can cook just about any meat in my crockpot and get rave reviews! I made this special pulled pork sandwich meal last weekend. My brother said it was the best pulled pork he’s ever had and he’s had it down south-so know you know it must be good! Here is how to do it:
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon oil
1 (4 pound) pork shoulder roast
1 cup barbeque sauce
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 extra large onion, chopped
2 large cloves of garlic crushed
1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme
How to:
Put the teaspoon of oil in the bottom of the crockpot. Next place the pork in(I usually trim any excess skin or fat off the meat). Then you’ll want to pour in the barbeque sauce, apple cider vinegar, and chicken broth. Stir in the brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, onion, garlic and thyme. Cover and cook on high until the roast shreds easily with a fork, about 6 hours.
When the 6 hours is up, remove your meat and use two forks to shred it. Then return the meat to the cooker and mix with the juices. Keep warm.
Serve using a slotted spoon onto toasted hamburger buns or rolls.

Hubs loves pulled pork! We smoke pork shoulder/butt a lot in the summer, but I’ve never tried it in the crock-pot. I’ll definitely have to give yours a try! It looks delish!
