Yes, it snowed. That’s right in October here in New York. Talk about bizarre. Maybe that Gore guy inconveniently had it right? Now that’s the truth! It hasn’t slowed down here one bit. School, sports, work, and bizarre freaks of nature it just keeps coming. Life is anything, but boring here. I think I’m finally getting into the groove of things more and more. I’m both excited and overwhelmed, but it’s all good. I will be having Thanksgiving at my house and helping both my sons classes host their Fall parties, so I’ll be bringing you lots of tips for Fall fun. It’s 60 and sunny now and most of the snow is gone. I’m looking forward to a fun filled weekend with my family. We could use it! Okay, enough about me here we go. ( Oh, yes more about me-LOL!)
This week I learned that:
10. it can snow in October. ( I swear it snowed once when I was a kid, but I was never sure until now.)
9. my oldest son hates trick or treating. ( He’s 7 and finds it odd that a bunch of kids dressed in costume knock on strangers doors and ask for candy.)
8. I need to buy a text messaging plan because I keep going over. ( I never thought this would happen to me! I’m a texter!)
7. no matter how times I volunteer at school I still have to beg parents to send stuff in. ( Who do you think supplies the party stuff? Besides the paper products and juice?)
6. I’m getting impatient about my foot feeling better. ( I have a surgical shoe on and I need to wear some stylish uncomfortable shoes again to feel sexy.)
5. my cat has a type of urinary tract infection. ( I’ve spent almost $400 on him, have him on a diet and have to give him bottle water.)
4. no matter who you are when you are sick you want your mommy. ( My son was home from school one day this week and wanted to be held and read to. Now my cat is snuggling up with me at night looking to be comforted.)
3. Penn Badgley’s voice is oddly forced and annoying. ( It looks like it hurts for him to talk. I know this is random, but it’s been bothering me lately.)
2. I need to take some time and schedule some down time for myself. ( to journal, draw, scrapbook, photograph and create the art I love. I don’t do it as much, or at all anymore.)
1. when my child hurts it hurts me 20 times more. ( It’s been a tough week for my big guy. My stomach has never hurt so bad. There is nothing I will not do for him, this I’ve known since I first felt him kicking inside of me.)
It’s been awhile, but he’s back- THE HUSBAND!
Oh, honey. I bet you thought you’d be spared this week since we’ve been having such a great time lately, but alas this is also part of our life. You do make things interesting for me!
This week my husband:
4. told me he’d meet us at football practice. ( When he called my cell from home I asked him, “Where are you you?”. His answer, ” It’s dark and cold out there.” Seriously!)
3. said he’d take over paying the bills. ( He spent quite sometime with my books on the couch and on the computer. Well, he stopped spending so much money on buying himself food, but I’m still paying the bills.)
2. broke into our house by forcing the living room window open. ( When I came home with the kids I found the blinds on the floor, he said he didn’t have the house keys. When I asked him what about the spare key ( the one we hide) he said he used them last time and left them inside our house!)
1. didn’t remove the canvas from my canopy out back. ( Just look at the picture! Now, not only is the canvas ripped, but the metal is bent and ruined.)
Have a great weekend everyone!
