Unfortunately, I don’t have a picture of my bag of Peeled Snacks because my husband took the bag and ate them all! Now, you can kind of tell where this review is going already can’t you. What are Peeled Snacks? Well, they are gently dried, organic fruit containing no added sugar or preservatives that come in convenient packaging. Now, I did get to try them before he stole the entire bag, so here is the scoop!
I took my coupon to my local ShopRite and was not having any luck finding them. Then I spotted one bag in an odd place so I just took it. The Peeled Snack was Organic Apple 2 the Core. They smelled like apples, didn’t look horrible for a dried snack. They looked fresh and felt pliable. My youngest son wouldn’t eat them, but my oldest tried them. He liked them and asked for more. I’m thinking awesome because now I have another snack option for him that he can grab and go. I love the ingredients on the label-organic apples. Yes, that’s it! I tried some myself and have to say that they are tasty and chewy without being too chewy. I could actually eat these. My husband of course liked them, hence him taking the entire bag. He enjoyed the taste and texture of the snacks as well. He also found it to be handy as a grab and go snack. It’s not messy as it would be to actually carry an apple with you. He commutes so this at least this is a healthy option.
Here is what I didn’t like: It’s a bit pricey of course. I had a hard time finding the item and I had no options when I finally did find it. Not bad for dislikes, and if the cost is too much consider your health options. It’s always going to cost a little more to eat good quality snacks. Here is the good news. The nice folks at SheSpeaks and Peeled Snacks have given me a coupon code to share with my readers.
