My husband just told me that that I should set up a cart and make these for a living since I make the most awesome green juice. This is juice not a smoothie. Big difference, but I’ll save that for another post. So, if you have a juicer and want to get your green on try this fantastic recipe from Kris Carr’s book Crazy Sexy Diet: Eat Your Veggies, Ignite Your Spark, and Live Like You Mean It!. I use this recipe and mix it up a little with what I happen to have available at the time. This recipe makes 2 servings and almost 32 ounces total.
2 large cucumbers (peeled if not organic)
4-5 stalks of kale
4-5 romaine leaves
4 stalks of celery
1-2 big broccoli stems.
1-2 pears ( you can use apples as well.)
1″piece of gingerroot
Then juice it up! You can use spinach, dandelion greens, parsely and even swiss chard, (I like a little lemon in mine, too)
This is such an easy way to get alot of veggies in your system. My energy level is extreme after having a glass of this juice. It’s a great way to begin your day. Let me know what your favorite juicing recipes are! I can’t wait to try them out.
