I now I’ve posted in the past about my oldest son being adventurous when it comes to trying new foods. He has quite the palate for an 8 year old. His brother unfortunately does not share those same gifts. Every so often he does surprise us when he chooses something new. When we were on vacation last month we had this conversation in a Mexican restaurant. I’m sure you’ve had a similar conversation as well. Let me know:
N: My 8 year old
D: My husband
O: My 6 year old
M: Me
It went like this:
After sending back the first taco…..
M: Owen how is that? Is that what you wanted?
O: Yes
M: Next time be more clear about what you want. Okay?
O: Yes, mom.
N: Daddy, I like Mexican food, but my favorite is Indian. What’s your favorite?
D: I like Thai first, then Indian and then Mexican. How about you?
N: I like Indian, anything Asian, and well, I like alot of foods from different countries. Mommy, what do you like?
M: My favorite is Mexican, then Indian and Chinese. ( I wanted to say more, but I got interrupted by O)
O: My favorite is french fries, all french fries, McDonalds, Burger King, Gunk Haus and hot dogs. I like hot dogs with ketchup.
N: That’s American food Owen.
O: I know I’m American.
That’s what I’m working with over here. Sound vaguely familiar to anyone?
