I’ve had a tough week this week. I know it might not look like it from the photo. I’ve been doing lots of running around and have experienced so many great things this week. I have also experienced a bunch of crap that I wish I didn’t. While I get to meet some very cool and exciting people I also get to meet a bunch of pretentious assholes too. The sad part is that about 99% of those people have nothing to be so snotty about. I’m angry that I let them get to me, but that’s something I need to be constantly working on. I feel as if I have lost my joy and need to find it again. I know one thing for sure and that is something has to change. So, I’m taking it easy on myself this week and hope I can find what I’m looking for in my heart. Here’s my week:
This week I learned that:
10. even when you think no one notices you they do. ( This happens alot to us as moms. We think we put all this effort into something and it goes un-noticed, but it’s not true.)
9. I don’t like people talking about me. Or do I? ( I put a bunch of stuff out on social media obviously I want people to talk about it – right?)
8. sometimes a kind word is all a person needs to hear. ( It might not have to do with anything important happening right at this moment, but just saying, “Hey that’s a nice shirt.” can really turn someones day around. Well, it works for me.)
7. no matter what you say to me Crocs are just plain ugly. ( I have always thought that, but recently went into a Crocs store and yuck! I’ll take my nasty blister thank you.)
6. I’m somewhere between laid back and overly cautious. (It all depends on what we are talking about. I like a good set of rules, but we all know some rules are meant to be broken.)
5. parents have quite a different recollection of their kids childhood then the now grown adult child does. ( I wonder if this will happen to me as well.)
4. I need to take pictures of myself before I leave the house. ( I don’t know what I was thinking when I bought some of these clothes! I just left a bag on the floor in my room to donate!)
3. after having my groceries delivered once I don’t ever want to go to the store again. ( They even bought me flowers. Can I really keep doing this?)
2. confidence is attractive. Thinking you are better than everyone else is not. ( Enough said.)
1. the one thing that remains a constant for me is that I want to be at home with my boys. ( I might not have the extra cash to get all the goodies, but I love being here spending time with my boys. I wouldn’t trade a minute of it for the world. Hence, my lack of babysitters. These boys are my joy.)

Thanks for #7. I’ve been saying Crocs are disgustingly ugly for years and why some people think they’re cool, I don’t know. Some people are gullible and fall for marketing campaigns. Uggs are another story: they’re not as ugly as Crocs, but they are shapeless and certainly ugly! That’s why they call them Uggs, yet some people fall for those commercials that make them look cool. Ugggg…

I agree about the Uggs thing too. Proof that you can make an ugly product, charge a shitload for it, and people will run to buy it.

Sounds like you learned a great deal this week Milena!
I have to purge my closet as well, which I’m totally dreading!
And I’m sending {HUGS} your way, sorry you didn’t have such a great week, but I hope this one treats you way better!
? ????????

Best part of my week was seeing you and your mom! It’s always great to see a familiar face!

Oops forgot some comment systems don’t like my heart and butterfly graphic and turns them into question marks! LOL

enjoyed reading this post… I’ve felt some of the same things too #2, #10 and had to smile at the Crocs comment (lol I wear them) I used to love high heels but as I’ve gotten older and ahem, wider I will take my comfy flats now. But back in the day, I had pumps in every color of the rainbow-unfortunately they are a size 6 and my daughter is a size 8.5 and 9 at 11… so it looks like she won’t be fitting into my collection anytime soon. ๐ have a great weekend ahead!

Ugh…I believe Crocs originated here in CO and they are *everywhere* here. You kinda get used to seeing them after a while & forget how “ugly” they are, lol. We haven’t been influenced by the trend yet ๐
As for #10, I don’t like to be noticed just incase what I did backfires or screws something up, lol.
