When I first started blogging for Revolt Fitness a friend had looked over the program and commented, ” Will you be leaving the house?” I laughed and answered, “Of course!” Starting any new lifestyle change, especially when it comes to food can be overwhelming at first. I think when people hear the term “clean eating” they make many assumptions, but it’s actually quite simple. Basically if it doesn’t come in a package and nature has made it, you can eat it! The hardest part for me was giving up my beloved pasta, but that’s what I might have on my free day. You get a free day every week where you can have some of the things that you crave. Honestly, after eating clean my cravings for other foods have become quite small and free day is not a free for all. That’s a good thing. The diet portion of the Revolt Fitness program is responsible for 80% of the results participants receive while on the program. We are getting fit, losing weight, losing fat, and losing inches. You can still eat out.
How to dine out while on the Revolt Fitness program:
1. Don’t be embarrassed to ask for what you want. You’re not being difficult by asking questions or requesting the chicken be grilled or broiled. Most places have no problem making an adjustment here or there.
2. Ask for a to go container before your food comes. Portion your food so that you are not tempted to over eat. This really works! Save the rest of that 10 ounce steak for tomorrow!
3. Ask for the dressing on the side. You will save yourself tons of calories.
4. Don’t get anything: fried, sauteed, breaded or sauced. ( If you’d like a bit of sauce, ask for it on the side.)
5. Ask them to remove the bread basket. ( If it’s not there you won’t want it.)
6. If what you are ordering comes with potatoes ask for a substitute. ( salad or steamed veggies are great!)
7. For breakfast you can always request egg whites only. Don’t be afraid to have your favorite sandwich or wrap just plated without the bread. Sure they might look at you funny, but I just did this and had an awesome healthy meal.
8. Do not try to dine out on your first week of the program! You might be tempted and let somethings slide.
It really is easy to dine out. Just remember to watch your portions, get your protein, order your items, grilled, broiled or steamed, get your veggies, and all sauces or dressings on the side. You can do this and have a great time out. You might even change the way your friends or family order their food.

This is a great post and so helpful! I try to stick to real foods when out, no breads and nothing fried. It’s not too hard to do either.
Thanks for linking up last week, the new linky for this week is up if you want to link up again.
