I had planned on actually calling this week’s post “10 Things I Learned on Facebook”, but then I wimped out. I’ve been feeling a bit defensive lately and didn’t think I could handle the backlash. For some reason, and you know it’s true, everyone seems to think that when you post something it’s about THEM! I’m guilty as well, I admit it. In all honestly we all need to laugh at ourselves a bit, and all the stupid shit we post. I just couldn’t handle another mom walking up to me and saying, “So, I saw what you posted…..” Yes, it’s happened more than once. Oh, well here are 10 things and yes a few of them are from Facebook. Enjoy!
This week I learned that:
10. Cicadas are a very exciting topic for everyone on Facebook. ( I must have seen a million videos and photos posted. Cicadas are cool and I loved collecting the shells when I was a kid. Unfortunately, we are Cicada free at my house so far.)
9. every year without fail my husband forgets to put on sunblock and I return home to a lobster man. ( I don’t know why he hasn’t figured out yet that he doesn’t tan, but burns. He’s my Irish white boy.)
8. my friends are awesomely supportive of me. ( Thank you ladies! Your help has been holding me together!)
7. some people never get tired of taking their photo in the bathroom mirror and posting it on Facebook. ( Once in a blue moon, okay, but every other day-really? What’s the purpose?)
6. even when someone laughs at my ideas I need to push through and do what I feel is right. ( I had a few crazy ones this week and some ideas worked some didn’t. Even so they were mine to try.)
5. car shopping sucks. ( My husband wants one thing and I want another. We are compromising, but finding THAT car is tough!)
4. there is nothing I hate worse than a suck up. ( Be nice to people because you like them, not because of what they can offer you. I’ve seen alot of this lately – you know where……)
3. my son has a unique sense of style. ( I love his pink socks and his crazy combinations. He really thinks he matches!)
2. not making my meals for the week is not a good thing. ( I’ve been doing the program at Revolt Fitness and we make our meals for the week. I didn’t this week. I tried to keep it clean and while I didn’t gain weight this week, I felt I had lower energy. Back to my 6 meals a day!)
1. some things are just best to keep to yourself. ( If you are going to get upset at the feedback you get from friends or family just keep your thoughts to yourself. I can’t say anything more.)

We don’t have many cicadas here.. just a couple… but we can hear them loud and clear in our woods. I never experienced this before – weird, creepy, cool, creepy.. hmmm.. yeah, I still have a thing about them being bugs.
I learned that I am a super freak! lol
