**โI participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.โ**
I’m happy to announce that I have been selected as a Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) Back-to-School Ambassador. Well, what that means is that I’m going to help spread the word about BGCA and their programs to help you and your family get ready for back to school. I have talked about the BGCA here before and the fantastic programs they offer. While I personally didn’t grown up taking part in their programs my brothers did, and for that reason I’m proud to be an ambassador for BGCA. My parents came to this country to build a better life for themselves. They dreamed of giving their children many opportunities and sacrificed so much in those early years. Luckily for my family the Boys & Girls Club of America was there to help. My brothers participated in programs, went to camps, stayed out of trouble and even received scholarships for an education that my parents could never have afforded. I can honestly say that the BGCA definitely helped shape the future of my family.
Today, 15.1 million children are left unsupervised after school. BGCA creates after school programs that not only provide a place to go for these children, but also help with academics to keep kids on track to a successful life. While, I’m fortunate enough to be able to work at home, I do volunteer at the school. Many of these children have no place to go after the day is over, let alone receive help with their school work. Do you want to help?
How to Help:
For the entire month of July jcpenney has been asking people to round it up ( round up your purchase to the next dollar) at the register and online. 100% of that money is being donated to BGCA. So far JCP Cares has raised $892,920 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Today is the last day to “round it up” for BGCA. If you can’t get to the store place an order online. It’s a fantastic way to get your back-to-school shopping done and help many children that are in need. Visit: jcpenney online for more information. Can’t make it? Aren’t ready to shop yet? You can still make a donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, plus get tips and helpful information on their website.
Are you ready for another school year?

I did not realize they were doing this this year! I have a gift card and it sounds like now might be the time to use it ๐

I love the round up idea (who can’t just give some change?) and that 100% goes to the BGCA. A lot of places take a cut, so this is a great idea! I go to JC Penney, too, so will participate.

Boys & Girls Club is awesome. I have so many kiddos I worked with that attended a BGCA program and they always loved it.

I really don’t know much about the BGCA, but I’ve heard from others that it’s a great program. Yay for JCP in supporting a good group.

We really love JC Penney for kids clothing. They always have such affordable prices. I love that they are helping the Boys and Girls Club too. What a great partnership. Thanks for sharing!
