I have to be honest. I love dip! I can eat just about anything if I have something to dip it in. I request people to bring dips that they’ve made that I love to my parties. I don’t get to indulge too much because my husband is not a big dip fan, but somehow I managed to get him to try the samples of Helvua Good! Greek Yogurt dips. I think I made a huge mistake because he actually loved them. Now, I’m going to have to hide my dips because I already found an empty container in the garbage this morning, which means he snacked last night! So here is the story about how I got him to give them a try.
The Review:
This is my job so try a product and give my thoughts on it. I’ve been trying to be more thoughtful on what products I try, but Heluva Good! was a no brainer. I always buy their cheeses for my gatherings and I already new they made a yummy dip. So far I haven’t been a fan of Greek Yogurt dips, but somehow I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed. Since I didn’t have a party planned I enlisted the help of my family, and I wasn’t sure how it was going to go. My oldest son and I are big dip fanatics, but my youngest and husband not so much. Explaining that this is my job always works and the test began.
Here are the flavors:
I paired these dips with chips, veggies, crunchy veggie sticks, pita wedges and crackers. We each had our favorites. My oldest son was torn between French Onion and Fire Roasted Vegetables. Although he admitted to liking all the flavors those are the ones he liked most. I have to say those were also my favorites. French Onion is a classic dip and Heluva Good! did an awesome job using the creamy thickness of Greek Yogurt to make this classic as yummy as ever. My youngest son that usually stays away from the dip actually liked the Herb Ranch and Fire Roasted Vegetables. Although he didn’t indulge as much as we did, he enjoyed the taste. I was glad that he tried something new. The husband, my toughest sale is now a convert. His top pick: Southwestern Chipotle. That would be the empty container I found in the trash. It went fast. It has a smoky taste to it. I’m thinking I would like this best on a sandwich as a spread. Now I’ll have to pick one up to give it a try. I don’t feel as bad treating myself to dip since Heluva Good! Greek Yogurt Dips have less fat and fewer calories than hummus or typical dips.
