Who doesn’t love fresh flowers? I know I do. It’s even better when someone knocks at your door with a floral surprise. For me, delivery just kicks it up a notch, but personally I have been disappointed once or twice with the quality of what shows up at my door. When I was approached by The Bouqs about doing a review and coming on as one of their ambassador’s I was a bit nervous. I don’t like writing poor reviews and I don’t lie so these flowers better be good. Roses no less always seem to have a short shelf life here at my home. This was going to be a true test.
The Review:
The funny part about this review is that the day before my Bouqs bouquet arrived my husband brought home roses of a similar shade. I swear he must be psychic or something. Now I had an actual bouquet purchased at florist to compare my Bouqs bouquet. My husband was actually home that day and he signed for my flowers. While you don’t have to be there to sign for your Bouqs’ they suggest that you do in order to protect your flowers from the elements. I opened my beautiful box and was mesmerized by their size and beauty. The flower buds were large and the stems were long. The thorns were scant. The box had very clear instructions on how to care for my flowers. I loved the packaging, but honestly was not that impressed with the flowers. Yes, they were large, the buds were closed and I thought for sure they would just die by tomorrow. The buds on my florist purchased roses didn’t open much. They were smaller and shorter in comparison to my Bouqs flowers.
Well, let me say I was so wrong!!!!!! Just as the box stated, the blooms took 24 hours to open and they were magnificent. They seemed almost unreal. The blooms were huge and the stems so strong that right up until they died didn’t lose their shape. How long did they last? Mine lasted a week. Honestly, I didn’t care for them exactly in the manner described everyday and they still lasted for a week. Yes, I had a few casualties, but for the most part I’d say I got a got a good 5 days out of all 12 roses. Also once the blooms opened the colors really showed. It really can’t be an easier or fresher unless you pick them yourself. Did I mention the free shipping?
