Minuscule: Valley of the Lost Ants!
Released in theaters, On Demand and on DVD on May 26, 2015 from kaboom! Entertainment.
My family and I received a review copy of Minuscule: Valley of the Lost Ants. It’s a big adventure in a very small package!
About the Movie:
This epic adventure has the added twist of almost no dialogue – think Wall-E meets A Bug’s Life! These animated stars communicate solely via a synchronized soundtrack featuring music and sound effects to tell the tale of their journey. With the lone voice of Richard Dreyfuss as the narrator, Minuscule: Valley of the Lost Ants is the buzz worthy spring feature you won’t want to miss.
Take a Peek:
Here are our thoughts:
I certainly picked the wrong time to let the kids review this film. They had a sleepover with 2 of their friends and the kids just couldn’t stop laughing enough to pay attention. Since the movie has no language you really need to pay attention to the facial expressions and other visual cues given by the insects. Once we watched again as a family we had a blast. It’s actually really funny. The animation is amazing and the adventures are spot on with the graphics and music. The film has not been rated, but as a parent I can see that this is a family film and would appeal to all ages. There is a wonderful lesson of teamwork when the ladybug and ants work together to get back home. The only thing that I might warn you about is if you have sensitive children the fire ants aggression might be too much for them to handle. I suggest viewing it first. Otherwise this is a fun film to be shared with the whole family! So grab your popcorn and a copy of Minuscule: Valley of the Lost Antstoday!

The first thing I got from this was ” A Bug’s Life”. Movies like these give a better understanding of the smaller creatures than us who also have their own lives
