My Favorite and Top Posts from 2017 #NewYear
I love this time of year because it gives me an opportunity to look back and what I’ve done and what I haven’t done. I usually find myself surprised by both. I wish you all the best in the new year. We got this people! Enjoy!
January:
In January, I participated in the Women’s March across the Walkway in Poughkeepsie. I learned quite a few things that day and shared in my post. It was a wonderful experience to be out there with friends both old and new. What a way to start out the year! This was one of my favorite posts.
My top post for the month of January was this make ahead Bagel Breakfast Casserole. It’s still one of my most pinned recipes. Easy to put together the night before then bake in the morning!
February:
This was both a favorite and top post for February! The Truth Behind the Pictures explores how what we see isn’t always what it seems. A good reminder for anyone on social media.
March:
My 10 Things posts are usually a fan favorite. Every year I say this, but this time I mean it, “I need to write more!” This post covered 10 Things that I was learning and living in March.
April:
Sometimes, my 10 Things posts aren’t always about what I’ve learned. This month I needed to rant and it felt good! I also kept true myself and posted a 10 Things I’m Still Learning list. I just read this again and I feel like I’ve grown up a lot since I wrote this one. I guess I am still learning.
May:
No other post in May or the year could top this one! There is so much emotion around this photo and this day. My friend and I were able to attend a screening of Snatched and interview with Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn. Meeting Amy was on my friend’s must-do list and I was able to help make it happen! Such, such, joy!
June:
As a blogger I get to attend many events during the year, this was a fun one! A Sip and Paint celebrating Big Little Lies from HBO. Great show, good soundtrack, and I created a new painting to hang in my bathroom! Win-win!
July:
Another perk to blogging is hosting family movie nights, we love it! In July we grabbed some sushi and cookies and watched Boss Baby. I’m at a point where my kids feel as if they are too old for these types of movies, but we loved it! I think they learned how to be kids at heart!
August:
My family and I headed to Italy in August and I was blessed to have a couple of guest bloggers come on board. This post written by Diana Rush really poke to my readers. Mommy? Is That You? explores a moms thoughts and feeling about wearing a swimsuit for the first time in years. If you haven’t read this one you really need too!
August also brought with it the chance to meet and interview the cast from Fun Mom Dinner. This was a hysterical movie that even my husband enjoyed! These were a fun group of ladies to interview. If you get a chance see this film!
September:
I barely posted in September. I’m surprised, but it makes sense. We were still trying to get back out of vacation mode and school was starting. I did however get to write a 10 Things I Learned from Summer’s end post. Always learning!
October:
We had an awesome time in October when we were hosted at Witchcraft Killington! It’s fun for the whole family and adults as well. A few people commented that they didn’t get the witchcraft thing. It’s called Witchcraft because it’s a Fall festival (Halloween) and they also have a craft beer event happening. Get it? I would do this again in a heartbeat!
November:
We were hosted at the Plaza for the anniversary of Home Alone 2! I still can’t believe it has been 25 years since Kevin stayed at the Plaza!
The holidays have become less stressful for me throughout the years of being a parent. This year I focused on what is important to me and I shared my thoughts on perfection. Bring on the tinsel!
December:
I can’t think of better way to end another year of blogging then an interview with Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, and Zendaya! The Greatest Showman cast and crew where great! I am so in love with this movie and the soundtrack! You need to go see it!
What are some of your highlights from 2017? What are your goals for 2018?
