With my husband being out of vacation time we wanted to take a weekend trip close to home, so we packed up and headed to Seaside Heights, New Jersey! Casino Pier and Breakwater Beach Waterpark were kind enough to host our trip to their attractions!
Our motel was right on the boardwalk and when my boys first caught a view of the Casino Pier they just couldn’t wait! There is nothing more iconic than amusement rides on the pier in Jersey.
We decided to wait until evening to hit the rides so that we could enjoy the spectacular lights and excitement Casino Pier has to offer. We left the beach and headed over to Breakwater Beach Waterpark.
Breakwater Beach has something for everyone. Rides are available for kids as well as adults. My teen and tween were kept quite busy!
My guys did it all! They took the ALL NEW Aqua drop free fall! A 50 foot speed slide where the floor drops out from under you at the starting platform!!! (Not me, but my husband did it too) It took all day to convince my son to go for it and we were so proud of him when he did and he was proud of himself. Not that adventurous? You can try the Patriots Plunge with 6 slides that let you race your friends, family, or anyone!
We found the park very clean and the staff friendly! You can rent lockers to store your belongings, find a chair to relax, or even rent a cabana for more privacy.
Dining inside the park is also available. You can spend the entire day there and keep cool!
I hit both of these slides with my guys! These are called Two If By Sea. We also all went on the Minuteman Express and then relaxed on the Revolutionary Wild River. The lines moved quickly and we had enough choices of attractions that we hardly had to wait at all. We were there close to opening time. We had a great time and found the park to be just the right size for us. They have several different packages to choose from and daily promotions to make your visit affordable. After some beach time we headed over to Casino Pier, as I wanted to ride the Ferris Wheel around sunset! The 40 meter Ferris Wheel stands 131 ft tall!
Each gondola seats 6 and one gondola will offer wheelchair accessibility!
It has to be the view on the Boardwalk!
Okay, so these guys had their own plans for fun!
My husband certainly took one for the team by taking our son on this one! Air Dive “Pilots” will experience accelerations of almost 3G while flying right-side up and upside down at a height up to 25 feet.
If you aren’t into rides Casino Pier still has plenty for you to do! They have fun foods, games and an arcade! They have rides for all ages not just big kids like us! Hey, see that tower on the left?
My teen went on the Shore Shot! Shore Shot takes passengers on a double launch thrill like no other, rapidly propelling riders 125 feet up in the air at speeds up to 45 mph and then plunging back down at great speed. The Shore Shot launches 12 passengers through two cycles of positive and negative G-force experiences – back to back!
We did have plans to go on the Hydrus Roller Coaster, but we just couldn’t do it! Next time!!!
Casino Pier is located at 800 Ocean Terrace Seaside Heights, New Jersey 08751 visit their website for events and special offers. My family made some awesome memories and even overcame some phobias! We will never forget our trip and will definitely be back!
*Disclosure: I want to thank Casino Pier and Breakwater Beach for hosting my family on our trip. All thoughts belong me and my family and have not been influenced. *
