My son came home from school with this picture. The assignment was to write a story and draw a picture. I loved it when my 5 year old’s story was :Once upon a time, there was mommy and Noah playing exercise. To him exercise is playing, and I know why.
Here is the secret: I dance it out! I hate organized exercise so I decided that I would do something that I enjoy and that’s dancing. As embarrassing as it might seem I spend awful lot of time dancing around when I make dinner and lunch. The kids are 3 and 5 so they aren’t embarrassed yet. They have a blast. They join me and we just dance it out. It’s fun and I get my heart rate up and sweat!
My I-pod has become my best friend and I’ll talk about this more some other time. I only put one earphone in so I can hear the kids and I dance when I’m washing the dishes and cleaning. The idea is to keep your body moving and i have to tell you it really makes those boring tasks bearable.
