Me at my 40Th Birthday Party
About Me:
I’ll start by saying that this is probably the most difficult thing I’ve had to write. I have been avoiding this for quite some time. What about me? Where do I start? How much do I tell? Once I write it-is that all that I am? Obviously, I think a little too much.
Here are the facts:
I am a 40 year old Stay at Home mom of two children and I love to blog. I started my blog as a way to share some of the things that have worked for me as a mom and it has evolved into a place where I share product reviews and get to give my reader chance to try some new products. I love it! I love being me.
I’m a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and worked in the field of Display and Exhibit Design for several years. I made the decision to go back to school and gain my Bachelors degree at Marist College in Poughkeepsie New York. While working on my degree, I married and worked as a supervisor of guest services at a well known Holistic retreat center. I stepped back from career in order to raise a family. It is a choice I have never regretted.
As far as hobbies go I enjoy dancing, scrapbooking, photography and volunteering. I love movies, especially horror films, and a few favorite TV shows. ( Even though I don’t get cable- thank God for Hulu and Netflix!)
Here is the good stuff:
I feel like I’m a complete nut job at times! I love me a cocktail and I love to dance in the kitchen at dinner with my kids. I feel like kids are meant to make a mess and I encourage cutting, painting and pasting. Also building things and baking are awesome things I love to do with my kids. I love trying new things and exposing my kids to different experiences.I’m completely obsessed with getting mail. I’m all about having fun and being silly. I predict that I will be that nut job old lady people talk about, but hey, let them talk.
I might not be a “writer” , but I’m honest and enjoy sharing things with my readers. I’m open to advertising and PR opportunities.
