Wow! Day 28 of the Blog Dare and I’m still doing it. Today’s prompt, I Write For…
The definition for exactly who, what or why I’m writing for has changed several times over the years. I started my blog because I wanted a place to share my experiences. I wanted to be joyful and I wanted to vent. Then I started writing to gain things. I wasn’t making any money, but I was starting to get products and giveaways. It was and still is very exciting. I open up these packages and try out all sorts of things. Then, I started feeling as if I wasn’t writing so much for myself anymore, but for an audience of people interested in what I had to say about a particular item. I started feeling a little lost. Were people just subscribing to my blog to win a book or a coupon? I wanted to be wanted for me. I’m still kind of in that place.
I love doing giveaways and reviewing products, but I’ve been working harder at writing for myself. Now, not just myself, but things that people can relate too and say, “Hey, I’m not the only one!”
Someday, I hope to write for myself, my audience and a make a living out of doing it. Until then, I’ll just keep working a little harder and hope I keep learning along the way.

Interesting perspective. My reason has changed a bunch too…it’s all part of life, right? xoxo
