Let me just start by saying that I’m a good cook, definitely above average. I can make meals that would knock your socks off both in taste and presentation. Now this is why I can’t wrap my head around the fact that I can’t boil an egg to say my life. There has been more then one tragedy involving eggs in my kitchen. Once I even colored them before I realized the insides were not cooked. Yes, that was not pleasant. Everytime I boil an egg I end up calling someone asking them how they boil an egg. I always get a giggle because people know I cook and they can’t even understand why I would be asking them such a question. Recently I actually made an entire batch of hard boiled eggs from the directions I received on allrecipes.com. The eggs were cooked, but the recipe said that they would peel easily. NOT! Oh, well, at least they were cooked.
My other arch enemy is the brownie. This I can say for a fact, ” I am not a baker!” I can bake an apple pie, mix a store bought cake mix, and make a killer Tiramisu, but that’s where my talent ends. Now, don’t get me wrong my brownies taste awesome, but look like I dropped them several times. I was told to bake them in a muffin tin. I’ll have to try that next time. What are your kitchen failures? Am I the only one that can’t make brownies or hard boiled eggs?

I’ve always had good luck with covering the uncooked eggs with water, then setting the timer for 12 minutes after the water boils. I always rinse them off in cold water, then refrigerate until use. Good luck!
I have some difficulty whipping egg whites properly. It goes well about 50 percent of the time, which is a pretty frustrating percentage!

well my mom told me that the eggs have to old to peel better… if you are making deviled eggs or something like that you have to plan ahead so the eggs sit in the fridge longer.
and my kids like my brownies best when they are a little undercooked..like gooey! try adding nutella..yum!
