This would be a picture of the famous kitchen “junk drawer”. Everyone I know has one. We put everything in there that doesn’t really belong anyplace else. The thought behind most of it is that we might need it someday.
This is my kitchen tool drawer. Yes, it’s filled with extra knives, 2 can openers, and several other items including a bag of jaxs and a slinky-just in case. I spend way too much time organizing these 2 drawers. I take everything out, clean the drawer and do the dance of “oh maybe I might need this. So, I read an article last night in Redbook Magazine and one of things that struck me was what they called a “might need it box” or something to that affect.
The challenge is to put everything in that box that “you might need” and put it away for 2 months. When you need something you can take it out and it’s earned it’s rightful place in the drawer. Anything left in the box after the 2 months is up gets donated.
Are you up for the challenge? I am. I’m actually going to get a bit more risky and make it 1 month. So, if you want to join me, I challenge you to take pictures of your drawers today and 1 month from now send me your before and afters to post here. (it can be any space, not just drawers)

I found your blog through the Friday Follow Blog Hop. I have 2 drawers in the kitchen that look just like this. I guess I have to do something about them:)

Wow I need to do that in my kitchen and in my desk. Great idea!
