Now, now, it’s not what you think. We have been working on paying off debt for quite sometime now. I think that people are under the impression that because I stay at home that we have more than enough money. Untrue! Staying at home was a choice my husband and I made together. We bought a two family house and lived in the bottom level and rented out the top. I quit my job because I we were having issues getting pregnant. We accumulated some debt. We finally adjusted then my son came along. As you know kids are expensive, so we accumulated a little more debt.
Anyway to make a long story short, another kid, losing our tenant (almost renting to a crazy person) and a second mortgage later we had a bunch of debt. We’ve been trying for a while working on our debt snowball and finally we are almost there-debt free. Last weekend we paid off all of our credit cards except 1(but we did pay half of it) and was able to make a decent deposit into our saving account. We still have a little way to go, but for the first time in a long time I’m not worried about paying any of bills. I’ve actually been paying them early. It is such a great feeling. I feel like I can breathe. The impact of it all is huge!
