So, I’m blogging from my mom’s house today – sorry no photos! I’m starting the weekend off with a bang, mom’s today, pool party, then to New Jersey and off to a blogger event with my boys in NYC Saturday. Things are good! So here we go again:
This week I learned that:
10. it never fails. The day after I mop and clean my kitchen is the day that my husband gives the kids Play Dough to play with on the table. (I obviously wasn’t home. Oh, and my saying the table is being conservative.)
9. flying in a helicopter is awesome! (I got to take a helicopter tour around Manhattan and the big plus- I got to sit up front with the pilot)
8. having a handheld GPS in my phone is actually useful. ( hence how I got to the heliport!)
7. I can actually give my curly haired boy a great haircut. (or maybe since he has so much hair and it’s so curly you can’t notice what a horrible job I did!)
6. no matter what I do I seem to have an incredible gift for killing plants. ( no green thumbs over here)
5. some cartoons are just classic. ( I can just watch Bugs Bunny, Scooby-Doo (not the Scrappy-doo or Scooby Dumb ones), The Jetsons and Flintstones over and over again and still get a good laugh)
4. as much as I miss my hubby when he is at work, him being home just throws my entire routine off. ( sorry babe- you know it’s true)
3. even though I live in the country and have had cats for years I still scream like a bitch when I see I mouse. ( Oh, yeah- I hop on the furniture and everything!)
2. some people will never stop asking me for help, but will never once say a simple thank you in return. ( really? I’d help you even more if I thought you actually appreciated it)
1. if you really want something bad enough you have to put aside whatever any one else might think about you and just go for it-you’ll regret it if you don’t. (sure, you would have thought I would have learned this one at least 20 years ago, but I’m a bit slow)
A Big Happy Birthday to My Hubby! I promise I won’t abuse you this week!
Have a great weekend folks!
