School is coming to an end and this mom couldn’t feel any more excited about it then I do! These guys are done. Mornings have been tough around here. One of the pleasures I get to being a stay at home mom is Summer vacation actually means something to me. I get to be with my guys all day! Okay, talk to me by the end of the Summer and yes, I’ll want to get rid of them. That just happens to be the cycle and I’m fine with it. This has been a good week for my blog and for me. Personally I’ve had a few deep conversations this week and I feel focused. I feel good. Oh and I’m sure you’re all happy to see that the husband is back. If you haven’t experienced him yet read on!
This week I learned that:
10. a newborn baby can brighten just about anyone’s day. ( New life, so amazing!)
9. at 8 years old my boy is such a man. ( I can’t believe what he can grasp at times.)
8. at 6 years old my little one still looks like a baby when he sleeps. ( I pull back the covers and he’s huge. Wow!)
7. no matter who you are you will be amazed at how large my cat is! ( He is a beast!)
6. drinking black coffee isn’t as bad as I thought. ( I ran out of milk so I drank it black. It’s the way to go!)
5. I underestimate myself. ( I am who I want to be. I just need to show people that part of me.)
4. exercising next to a “Fitness Model” never does your self-esteem any good. ( Really? By far my biggest challenge of the week.)
3. avoiding yoga because I thought I wasn’t flexible was stupid. ( After attending a yoga class I realized that if I did yoga I would be more flexible.)
2. sometimes once someone has their mind made up there is nothing you can say to change it. ( I wish you believed that you had the power in you to change things the way I do.)
1. I’m not the only one that’s over the small town bull shit! ( Seriously? All you people are related to each other, get over it!)
Now, if you are new here this is the scoop: every so often I post my husbands mishaps. I call him The Husband. Slowly but surely I’m finding out he’s more the norm than the oddity. So, here is how his week went:
This week my husband:
4. charged a growler of beer on our credit card. ( I guess I must have driven him to drink!)
3. forgot his wallet, train ticket, etc at home. ( Wow, this hasn’t happened in maybe 2 months!)
2. bounced two checks. ( He ordered a new pair of work boots a day before payday when I already paid the bills for the week. All he needed to do was tell me and I could have transferred cash over to cover it. I guess paying $20 in fees is more reasonable than speaking to me. )
1. got his car impounded. ( I feel for him on this one. He was parked 8 feet from a hydrant when the law is 10. So close, but yet so far away. That is going to be a $185 Father’s Day gift he”ll never forget.)
The Husband is the love of my life. People think me posting this stuff is cruel and also funny, but I get his approval first. That’s why I love him. He is more than man enough to own his faults, plus he never makes me reveal mine! He keeps my secrets! How can you not love that guy?!
