Back in April I had the pleasure of attending a performance by Mario the Magician at The Metropolitan Room in New York City. You can read my review at BroadwayWorldJr. In a nutshell my family and I loved him! My youngest son even had the opportunity, as many, to get up on stage and help with the show. One thing that stood out to me was the passion behind his performance. Mario is a true entertainer. He was able to keep both kids and adults engaged and somehow manage to control a crowd of very excited children. It was impressive. The kids loved his humor and were able to relate with him quite easily.
In an age where it seems kids are bombarded with images and special effects, Mario was able to capitivate the audience with sleight of hand tricks and contraptions of his own creations. The magic behind Mario is the man. It’s in his creations that the magic comes alive. He has the ability to make the children feel like they are magical themselves. When I saw “Building Magic” a 5 minute short before his show and then again on YouTube I felt inspired. I love coming into contact with people who have big dreams. That are passionate. They make things happen, not only for themselves ,but for everyone around them.
Take a Peek:
So, when I found out that a Kickstarter campaign had started to turn ‘Building Magic” into a 60 minute Indie documentary film I jumped on board. As, of today I’m officially a backer! I’m asking that you do the same. Every dollar counts, and if every reader of mine would only give a dollar that would be over 2000 dollars. ( Of course giving more would be awesome!) Please share this message with your friends, with your family, and anyone that you know that has had a dream. (Share on Facebook and Twitter!) I’m writing this post because I believe in following your dreams. I believe in magic. I believe in Mario the Magician.
Building Magic: an indie documentary about inventor Mario the Magician. It’s a deeply personal story, yet speaks to anyone who has ever pursued a dream. Visit Kickstarter and become a backer (like me!) As of today there is only 15 days left! Let’s get this show on the road!
