All four of us were hit with the stomach bug in one way or another. It just sucks. I had it for 24 hours, felt fine then 2 days later it reared its ugly head again. Sickness makes me cranky. It also makes me grateful for the times when everyone is feeling well. Yes, grateful. I’m going with that feeling. Maybe I’ll write a post about being grateful……again. Here we go……
This week I learned that:
10. my cat will lick my leg through my pants after I apply this Cellulite Defense Gel! ( It really creeped me out.He followed me and when I sat just started licking me. Gross!)
9. my cat also like to stare at the new guinea pigs for hours. ( It’s almost as if he has his own personal zoo.)
8. it’s amazing what you notice when you just lay around sick. ( Like this whole cat thing I have going on here.)
7. nothing is “secret”. ( If you don’t want anyone to know just don’t say anything, post anything, etc. There are loop holes in social media and you will get burned.)
6. I find it annoying when people have to constantly tell you all the “good” things they do. ( Just go forth and do amazing things! Stop waiting for the pat on the back or the “Wow you are such an amazing person comment.)
5. even if you put yourself out there and tell someone how you feel it doesn’t mean they are going to acknowledge it. ( You don’t have to agree with me, but at least let me know how you feel don’t ignore me.)
4. I need to change some things that I’m doing in my life. ( Somethings just not right, I gotta mix it up. )
3. it’s okay to not be part of the pack. ( We ride solo over here and so do our friends. It’s awesome to be weird and I’m embracing it.)
2. if you write notes about what you learned this week while you are sick you might not be able to read them. ( It’s like a mad woman over took my body.)
1. kids learn what they see and feel. ( When my son started feeling better and I was sick he came and snuggled with me in the chair. I told him he should stay away so he doesn’t get sick again, but he said, “You held me when I was sick. I don’t want you to feel like you are alone.” Proud mom. It was worth the germs.

Hahha your cat sounds like mine, he would go nuts though, trying to catch the guinea pigs! I’m sorry you all were sick, that is just miserable.
Milena Barrett says
Nope, my cat just loves watching them-LOL! He must be lazy!

Haha, I know a few people that fish for compliments by always tooting their own horn, too. Very annoying.

That was so sweet of your son. Also, my pets do weird things like that too!

I love #9. My son sits and stares at his turtle tank the same way.

I don’t own any cats, but as a dog owner, I can totally relate. My puppy is full of shenanigans!
Shauna says
Yup… pretty much. Sometimes, just telling someone how you feel and getting it off your chest helps, though… You know. Thanks for sharing, hope y’all feel better.

Hahahaha, these were hilarious! I love the ones about the cats – I have three cats and a hamster and one of the cats thinks the hamster is his personal play thing. Be grateful that you were laying around sick and noticed numerous things, I tend to notice dust. #6 literally made me laugh! The same thing bothers me and I know a couple people like that! Thanks for the giggles!

if something is not feeling right, and you want to mix it up…I say have at it. ๐ I bet the cat was thinking how nice those guinea pigs would be to play with, hahaha
Lois Alter Mark says
That’s a lot of wisdom learned in one week! I can totally relate!

This post cracked me up. I wonder what is in that cellulite gel? Maybe your cat is onto something…maybe its really delicious. Try it on some crackers and let us know! ๐
Mama to 5 BLessings says
Is it dangerous for the cat to lick that? Did it have any reactions?
Brittany @ Clumps of Mascara says
Well you made me laugh and then you melted my heart with your sweet sons response to you being sick. So glad you are feeling betting…and some great life lessons on the sick bed! ๐
Amanda Love says
It’s truly amazing all the things you notice when you’re laying ill in bed. Sounds like you have one of the best sons in the world. ๐

I agree with the whole “nothing is secret.” Secrets can easily be shared with others!
