How to wrap a bake sale cupcake:
Recently, I took part in a bake sale and I actually think it was my first bake sale ever. When the person running the sale told me I needed to individually wrap the items I freaked out. How do I wrap a cupcake? I didn’t want to have to buy expensive papers, boxes and such for a cupcake being sold for a dollar. I had to get creative. I waited till the last minute too, no big surprise. Why make things easy? Then I came up with this !
Step 1:
I grabbed my favorite party cups! My girlfriend introduced me to these plastic cups for my ladies night. They fit a cupcake perfectly! They are also sold in bags of 25 which works well when you bake 24 cupcakes.
Just pick up the cupcake and literally just drop them in! Bam! Beautiful and safe from tipping over. Now to cover them!
Step 2:
I tried grabbing plastic wrap and tying a ribbon around it, but it was messy. The wrap I had was not wide enough. After digging through my cabinet I found bags of treat bags that I had purchased after Halloween. Yes, I said Halloween. Lucky for me they only had polka dots on them. Only I would know and now you that they were Halloween bags. Getting them into the bags was a bit more difficult, but the Β pray and drop it in method worked here as well. The bags came with ties so no ribbon was needed.
Step 3:Β
Place your cupcakes in foil serving trays for safe travels and serving at the bake sale. It makes a wonderful presentation! Now the problem is getting them out of the cups for the person that purchased one. I tried a few different ways and I was successful at getting my cake out out undamaged. Next time I do this I will tie a plastic fork in with the tie so that people can use the fork to eat their cupcake. I think that will be much neater next time!
Have you ever had to wrap cupcakes? What’s your favorite bake sale item to buy?

Love this! I have had to wrap cupcakes, but it was for my pregnancy announcement to mine and my hubby’s family. The cupcakes had our first ultrasound photo on it and it was edible! We wrapped them in plastic and then a cute decorative box. That wrapping you used is so cute!! I had to use clear wrappings because I couldn’t find cute stuff like this. Such an awesome idea!
