I told my husband, I think this is the year we get things back on track. Little did I know that it would be my 6 year old son that would lead me in the right direction and teach me a lesson.
Back to the day I came home: As, I pulled in the driveway and notice my grass not mowed an anger grew inside me. I went in search of my husband. As I went to the back yard I heard my son yell,” Look mommy!”, their he was with my husband mulching out my path. “Do you love it mommy?” “I made you a new path!””
As I held back the tears, my husband said, ” I couldn’t say no when he asked me to help him find your path.” I wouldn’t have wanted him to do anything different than exactly what he was doing.
Maybe someday my little guy will know that he definitely made me a new path in more ways than one.

Hi Milena,
I saw you commented on my blog about your oldest having Asperger's. I wasn't sure if you would receive my message if I responded back to your comment on my blog, so decided to write another comment here. The "Welcome to Holland" is a very famous poem by Emily Kingston. Isn't it beautiful? It's very poignant to me, because I have two special needs children AND because I actually grew up in Holland, lol. Isn't that quite a coincidence? I'm really looking forward to reading your blog and getting to know you better. Autism Moms Rock!!! ๐
